About the Role
The RN Supervisor coordinates patient care and services, promoting quality care through a collaborative process that evaluates and monitors services according to patient needs. Works with patients and families in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Currently licensed/registered in applicable State; must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment
- Two (2) years’ nursing experience (geriatric nursing experience preferred)
- CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; must remain current during employment
Skills & Competencies
- Expert knowledge in field of practice with ability to make independent decisions
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines in post-acute care
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency in patient rights, safety, sanitation, and competency areas
- Maintains professional relationships with associates, vendors, and others
- Upholds confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information
- Adheres to company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism; completes mandatory compliance training
- Strong interpersonal, reasoning, and judgment skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
- Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
Responsibilities
- Provide, manage, and coordinate patient care to ensure highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
- Assist patients daily in evaluating quality of care rendered
- Direct licensed staff and CNAs in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting requirements
- Assess patients’ needs and develop plans of care
- Exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients
- Assist in the evacuation of patients when necessary
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
