Registered Nurse RN - Stepdown

About the role

Full-time Registered Nurse position in the Stepdown / Intermediate Care department at Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, located at 2233 W. Division St., Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay

Hourly rate: $35.35 to $53.58.

Sign-on bonus: $10,000 available for qualified candidates. Eligibility and payout terms apply; details discussed during the interview process.

Schedule

Full Time - Nights | 3-12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Rotating holidays and weekends.
