Registered Nurse - RN - Step Down ICU - Straight Weekends
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients. They collaborate with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. They care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care. They function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, AACN, ACEN, and NLN CNEA.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

About the Role
The Intermediate Care Unit is a 16-bed specialty unit designed for patients who need frequent monitoring and advanced interventions but do not require the intensity of critical care. Our team cares for patients recovering from Trans-femoral Aortic Valve Replacements (TAVR), post-operative surgeries, and acute but stable STEMIs and Non-STEMIs. We also manage patients with secured airways on ventilators, low-dose vasopressors, and those recovering from strokes, traumatic injuries, or detoxification. The IMC bridges the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical units, offering a safe and supportive environment for patients with complex medical needs as they continue their recovery.

Salary Range: $34.00 - $48.00 Pay Info: Sign on bonus available for eligible applicants!
