REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - SPECIALTY PROCEDURES

About the role

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled RN to assist our Special Procedures Team. In this fast-paced role, you will direct and provide professional nursing care in our Special Procedure/Sedation Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Direct or provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administering conscious sedation under the direction of a physician or CRNA.
  • Making rounds to monitor/assess patients receiving conscious sedation before, during, and after receiving conscious sedation.
  • Delegating nursing assignments.
  • Preparing schedules.
  • Oversight of admissions and discharges.
  • Making sure medicines and supplies are ordered and monitored.

Requirements

  • Previous experience strongly preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho.
  • BSN strongly preferred.
  • Possession of proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • AACLS certification within six months of employment.
  • PALS certification within six months of employment.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
  • Awareness of professional nursing standards and performing in accordance with them.
  • Previous sedation experience required.

Qualifications

  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • AACLS certification within six months of employment.
  • PALS certification within six months of employment.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
