Registered Nurse (RN) Special Care Nursery Level II
Job Summary
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Responsibilities
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Makes rounds to monitor patient condition.
- Communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Aids patients with activities of daily living.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education.
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice/work in the state of Kentucky.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
- Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification OR obtained after 6 months of nursery experience but prior to completing 12 months of nursery experience.
- Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 90 days after hire date.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.

Pay
$X per hour or $Y per shift, depending on the schedule.
Schedule
Nights | Full Time | 6:30/7:00 | Rotating Weekends

Education
