Registered Nurse (RN) Skilled Nursing PRN

About the role

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to perform and supervise day-to-day nursing activities in the provision of direct resident care. All duties are carried out within the scope of the RN license and in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned.
• Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned.
• Prepares for and assists physicians and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Reinforces, supports, and provides health care instructions to patients and their families.
• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.
• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Observes and reports patients' vital signs, symptoms, and general condition to the appropriate individual(s).
• Records observations of patient’s responses to nursing care rendered on patient charts.
• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients.
• Assists with unit management and/or assumes charge of the unit as assigned.

Requirements

• Current RN Licensure with the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR Card.
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
