About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating resident care during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other care staff.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans to deliver high-quality, safe care.
- Assign and manage work schedules based on resident needs and staff capabilities.
- Handle staffing arrangements, including call-ins and unit transfers, and oversee performance evaluations.
- Ensure smooth unit operations, especially during absences of senior management, using independent judgment and adherence to policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred.
- Current state RN license and CPR certification (or within 90 days of employment).
