Vermilion Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and coordinate care for individuals with behavioral health needs. This position offers competitive salary, excellent training, and professional growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
• Accurately administer medications and document accurate counts of controlled substances.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved inpatient treatment.
• Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Coordinate activities of the unit as directed.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse settings.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Pay

$30.25 - $46.43 (depending on years of experience)
