About the Role

This full-time, day-shift role provides direct clinical patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis and at the unit level. The RN supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and resource management related to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
  • Assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
  • Directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement (QI), and infection control, aiming to discharge patients with an optimum level of care.
  • Coordinates and plans patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
  • Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
  • Performs and fulfills all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies and/or disasters.
  • Knows the hospital’s emergency codes, including their purpose and appropriate actions, and adheres to hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required). Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of RN experience for PRN status (required). Recent acute care experience (preferred).
  • Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as an RN in the state of practice (required).
  • AHA BLS certification (required). Additional certifications such as AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP may be required based on unit policy.
