Registered Nurse (RN) - Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care, System Float Pool

About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced RNs to join its System-Wide Float Pool. The pool offers exposure to a broad scope of patient care across various sites within the system, with assignments lasting approximately three months per site. This role involves rotating assignments at different hospitals within the RWJBarnabas Health network.

Responsibilities

• Possess exemplary critical care skill and knowledge with professionalism, cooperation, and accountability.
• Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
• Serves as a role model and collaborates effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and mission of RWJBarnabas Health and the Department of Patient Care Services.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Engages in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimal of three (3) years of intermediate care experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in intermediate care field.
• Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH certification preferred.
• PCCN preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet system staffing needs.

Qualifications

Pay

The pay range for this position is $49.28 - $62.26 per hour, contingent upon location and qualifications.

Schedule

This role requires a 36-hour workweek, specifically during night shifts.
