Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
- Coordinate patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist; direct and guide OR Technicians and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and co-workers to ensure continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance.
- Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
- Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Minimum of one year of previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Pay
The current compensation range for this role is $52.89 to $66.05 per hour. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or employment status. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
