About the role
The Radiology Department at Carolinas Medical Center is a specialized procedural area that provides expert care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging. Nurses in this department manage patient preparation, moderate sedation, and recovery for a wide range of procedures, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, and PET.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient preparation, sedation monitoring, and post-procedural care for various imaging and interventional procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for both inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and clinical decision-making.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- At least 6 months of RN experience.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.

Pay
$38.20 - $57.30 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
