Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiology

About the role

Responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups and regulating bodies. Nursing care is delivered in accordance with ECU Health and entity-specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care.

Coordinates nursing care, including the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team. Implements interventions, evaluates patient progress, and documents the process while addressing age-specific and unique needs of the patient and family. Promotes effective functioning of the healthcare team and collaborates with team members to meet patient and family needs throughout the episode of care. Delegates tasks and activities as appropriate under the NC Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Ensures healing without harm through safety habits, error prevention tools, periodic rounding, and participation in daily safety huddles.
• Obtains and interprets initial and ongoing systematic patient and family assessment data, incorporating information from other appropriate sources.
• Uses patient and family assessment data to formulate a relevant nursing plan of care.
• Collaborates with the patient, family, significant others, and interdisciplinary team to formulate realistic and measurable outcomes based on clinical presentation and plan of care.
• Develops an individualized plan of care addressing learning needs to achieve optimal health, well-being, and transition across the continuum.
• Implements interventions identified in the plan of care, considering patients' needs across the lifespan.

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing, Associate in Nursing, or higher.
• Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Health Care Provider certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Pay

Clinical Ladder Pay Range: $38.40 - $52.80 per hour.

Schedule

Night shift.
