Position Summary (this is a heading? but we need to map to sections) Core Functions (list of duties) Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Additional Related Education And/or Experience Preferred. EEO Statement etc (boilerplate to remove) Privacy Policy etc (remove) We need to produce sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must only include sections that have real specific content. Let's map: About the role: Could be the description of the unit, position summary, etc. Probably we can put the paragraph describing the unit and role. Responsibilities: Core Functions list (many bullet points). Use
  • . Requirements: Minimum Qualifications (must possess RN license, BLS, etc). Also maybe experience desired. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications (Bachelor's degree preferred, professional certification preferred, additional related education/experience preferred). Could also include "Additional Related Education And/or Experience Preferred." Skills: Could be EKG and ACLS certified, etc. Also maybe "Nurses on our unit are EKG and ACLS certified, and receive education beyond basic level learning." Also maybe "ability to work 3x12-hour shifts" etc. But we need to see if there is specific skill content. We'll include skills like EKG, ACLS, etc. Benefits: The posting mentions "option to participate in a variety of health, financial, and security benefits." Also maybe "Better than ever for nurses... Great Place To Work certification". Also "Your pay and benefits are important components". Also "$10,000 Hire On Bonus*". Also "Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential." That's pay differential but could be under Pay. Benefits: health, financial, security benefits; also maybe "Great Place To Work certification". We'll include benefits section with those specifics. Pay: The posting mentions "$10,000 Hire On Bonus*" and "flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential". Also maybe "Your pay and benefits are important components". No explicit salary range. So we can include Pay section with hire-on bonus and weekend differential. Schedule: The posting mentions "As a Registered Nurse at Banner, you will have the opportunity to work 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm with weekend rotations utilizing our self-scheduling tool." That's schedule info. Also "Work Shift: Day". So we can include Schedule section. We must not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We must not repeat job title. We must not include Job ID etc. We must remove boilerplate: EEO statement, Privacy Policy, etc. We must preserve all substantive information. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's craft sections:

    About the role

Banner Baywood Medical Center's Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is an 80‑bed inpatient high‑acuity, cardiac‑monitored unit providing exceptional patient‑centered care for adult and geriatric patients. As a Registered Nurse in PCU you will care for diverse patients with acute and chronic disease processes and multiple comorbidities. The unit emphasizes collaborative teamwork, continued growth, and mentoring for RNs. Nurses on the unit are EKG and ACLS certified and receive education beyond basic level learning. This unit serves as a gateway for RNs seeking challenge, continuous learning, and a solid foundation of skills across many areas.

    That seems good.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
    • Review patient history and physical with patient/family and assure completion within appropriate timeframe.
    • Review available information obtained by other health‑care team members.
    • Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers.
    • Complete assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
    • Formulate a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health‑team input.
    • Initiate a plan of care based on patient‑specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care.
    • Develop realistic, measurable goals for the patient in conjunction with the patient/family, considering physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age‑specific and educational needs.
    • Plan care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team.
    • Review and revise the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
    • Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health‑care team.
    • Provide care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies, procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements.
    • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel.
    • Promote continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
    • Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revise the plan of care as needed.
    • Evaluate patient progress toward goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health‑care team members.
    • Evaluate patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
    • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy, reflecting objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient’s response to treatment.
    • Note physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Provide care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice.
    • Participate in unit or facility shared leadership.
    • Interact and participate in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors.
    • Promote/support growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.
    • Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care.
    • Actively participate in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes, such as participating in professional organizations.
    • In some roles, supervise staff and work flow of the department.
    • Interact with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts concerning the health care of the patient.
    • Interact with other health‑care providers in numerous settings to report and ask for or clarify information.
    • Work with clergy to provide spiritual support.
    • Synthesize and prioritize data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
That is huge but we must preserve all substantive information. It's okay.

    Requirements

Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, a temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area for which you are applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.

We could also include "Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job." but that's fluff. Might include.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Professional certification preferred.
    • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

    Skills

EKG and ACLS certification; ability to provide education beyond basic level learning; proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting nursing care; skilled in collaboration, delegation, supervision, and communication with interdisciplinary team; capable of synthesizing and prioritizing data from multiple sources to support patient and family response to health status changes.

But we need to ensure we are not inventing. The posting mentions "Nurses on our unit are EKG and ACLS certified, and receive education beyond basic level learning." Also mentions "Our leadership team prides itself on a collaborative teamwork approach, while ensuring a strong focus on continued growth and mentoring for our RNs." Also mentions "Participates in unit or facility shared leadership." etc. So we can include those as skills. Better to list bullet points:
    • EKG and ACLS certification
    • Ability to deliver education beyond basic level learning
    • Collaborative teamwork and mentoring
    • Shared leadership participation
    • Skill in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting nursing care
    • Delegation and supervision of care team
    • Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
    • Synthesizing and prioritizing data from multiple sources
    That's derived from posting.

    Benefits

    • Eligibility for a $10,000 hire‑on bonus with 12 months of RN experience (requires a 1‑year commitment)
    • Option to participate in a variety of health, financial, and security benefits
    • Banner Health’s Great Place To Work® Certification™ reflecting investment in workplace excellence and team member wellbeing
We need to ensure we don't include "If you are a New Graduate Nurse..." that's application instruction, remove.

    Pay

Flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential; eligibility for a $10,000 hire‑on bonus (see Benefits).

But we already mentioned bonus in Benefits; maybe we should not duplicate. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." We could combine bonus under Pay or Benefits. But we need to include Pay section only if posting actually states them. It does state weekend differential and hire-on bonus. So we can include Pay section with both. But we already put bonus in Benefits; maybe better to put bonus under Pay and benefits under Benefits. Let's decide: Pay section
