Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Nights | Hampden Rehab
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health Hampden's new rehabilitation hospital will utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The position may also involve performing other related duties such as acting as a Charge Nurse, with an ACLS certification requirement.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
- Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization needs.
- Access and coordinate community resources as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including acting as a Charge Nurse (with ACLS certification required).
Requirements
- Holds a current RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- AHA-approved ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Leadership and problem-solving skills are also highly valued.
Skills
Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills are essential. Knowledge of rehabilitation nursing practices and procedures is beneficial.
