About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Voyages Behavioral Health is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. They plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Holds current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience preferred but not required.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.

Schedule

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer or House Supervisor, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for:

• Providing 6 shift availability per month for Tier 2.
• Providing 8 shift availability per month for Tier 3.
• -1 full weekend per month, 2 major, and 1 minor holiday.
