About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health is responsible for using the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients on the nursing unit. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May also perform duties as a Charge Nurse, requiring ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients on the nursing unit.
• Participates in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Teaches patients and families about post-hospitalization care and community resources.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as a Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Requirements

• Holds a current RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• AHA-approved ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
