Registered Nurse (RN) - Primary Care and Walk-In Care
The MH Registered Nurse II -Primary Care and Walk-In Care role provides high-quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
About the role
This combination creates a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Located on the MaineHealth Waldo Hospital campus, this unique opportunity allows you to work across both Primary Care and Walk-In Care settings. You'll support patients of all ages through preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, same-day visits, and acute care needs while working closely with a team of 28 providers, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff.
Responsibilities

- Work closely with a team of 28 providers, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff
- Work across both Primary Care and Walk-In Care settings
- Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for Primary Care, and Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Walk-In Care
- 40 hours per week, 4 / 10 hour days - when you work the weekend, you get an extra day off during week
Requirements
This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy variety, teamwork, and building relationships with patients over time. You'll have the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills while helping patients navigate both routine healthcare needs and unexpected illnesses or injuries.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- One year of recent RN experience required

This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
