Registered Nurse RN Pre-op/PACU
Part-time, benefit-eligible position (48 hours per pay period). On-call requirement: must be within 45 minutes of the hospital when on call.
About the Role
Nurses in the Pre-op and PACU department care for patients before and after their surgical procedure. In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.
The Registered Nurse provides quality patient-centered care considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serve as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.
Schedule
- Day Shift – Varying start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
Requirements
- Current Michigan Nursing License
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
- ICU and/or Prep/PACU experience preferred
- ACLS, PALS preferred
