About the role

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse, RN to join the 2 South Med Surg/Telemetry unit, specializing in Post Cardiac Cath Recovery. The unit is known for its supportive and dynamic environment, with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio and a 24-bed capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
  • Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
  • Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
  • Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • Absolute Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred
  • ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire
  • One year of experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Absolute Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred.
