About the role
Oversee daily operations, patient care, staffing, and fiscal management in collaboration with leadership for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe delivery of patient care while maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and unanticipated situations, delegating tasks appropriately.
- Prioritize and delegate shift duties, including chart checks, documentation, and supply management.
- Support staff development through ongoing assessment and education of nursing personnel.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, monitoring, and reporting to enhance patient care.
- Perform related duties to ensure smooth unit operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associates degree in Nursing required.
- Valid Multi-State RN License or equivalent, with application for state-specific licensure if needed.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required within 7 days of hire.
- CPI certification within orientation period; other certifications as determined by unit.
- Preferred: 2–3 years of acute care experience with leadership abilities.
