Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU 4 (Step-Down ICU)

About the role

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and significant others in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others
• Carefully cares for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service
• Utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles
• Serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry
• Collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team
• Ensures compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid Ohio RN license

Experience

• RN hospital work experience required

Knowledge/Skills

• Able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong organization skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
