Overview

Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring a Flexi/PRN Time RN for day shift in their Outpatient Surgery Center in Charlottesville, VA!

Background

A background in PACU/Outpatient surgery is preferred.

Location

Outpatient Surgery Center at Pantops, Charlottesville, VA

Hours

Operating hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm, with no night or weekend shifts, though occasional variations in hours may occur.

Responsibilities

• Performs a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• Meets standards as required by specific clinical areas.
• Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments.
• Communicates with patients and providers.

Requirements

• Registered nursing license (Required)
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
• PALS required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Experience

• Scrub and/or circulator experience in an OR.
• Candidates who have completed a PeriOp 101 program.
• One year of experience in acute nursing care required.
• Candidates who have previous operating room experience.

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred).
