About the role

The Registered Nursing (RN) position at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is dedicated to providing competent nursing care as per the nursing process, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical nursing duties in accordance with the standards of practice and professional performance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient response.
• Teach patients and families about self-care and disease management.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and regulations.

Requirements

• ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
• Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
