About the role
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 based on eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Assessment – Uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.

- Problem Identification – Clinical judgment about the patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs.
- Planning and Outcomes – Sets measurable and achievable short- and long-range goals in collaboration with the patient and family.

- Formulating a plan of care
- Transition or discharge planning
- Implementation – Nursing care is implemented according to the care plan to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensures patient safety

- Evaluation – Continuously evaluates the patient’s status and the effectiveness of nursing care, modifying the care plan as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program.
- Experience: One (1) year as an RN.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association and others as required by individual department.
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
