About the role
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its System-Wide Float Pool. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad scope of patient care within the operating room (OR) specialty area across multiple facilities within the RWJBarnabas Health system.
Responsibilities
- Possess exemplary critical care skill and knowledge with professionalism, cooperation, and accountability.
- Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
- Supports the philosophy, objectives, and mission of RWJBarnabas Health and the Department of Patient Care Services.
- Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
- Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
- Minimal of three (3) years of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting.
- CNOR preferred.
- Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective role modeling.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet System staffing needs as required.
- Average site assignment is three (3) months (less or more), based on facility need.
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
Qualifications
