About the role

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its System-Wide Float Pool. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad scope of patient care within the operating room (OR) specialty area across multiple facilities within the RWJBarnabas Health system.

Responsibilities

  • Possess exemplary critical care skill and knowledge with professionalism, cooperation, and accountability.
  • Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
  • Supports the philosophy, objectives, and mission of RWJBarnabas Health and the Department of Patient Care Services.
  • Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
  • Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
  • Minimal of three (3) years of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting.
  • CNOR preferred.
  • Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective role modeling.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet System staffing needs as required.
  • Average site assignment is three (3) months (less or more), based on facility need.
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

Qualifications
