As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room/Surgery department, you will join a team dedicated to making communities healthier. Department Details
The OR-Surgery Department operates 10 ORs with service lines including Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Plastics, ENT, Neuro, and Podiatry. The team supports:
- Ortho procedures 5 days a week in 2 to 3 rooms per day
- Neuro procedures 3 to 4 days a week
- Cysto procedures 2 days a week
- Da Vinci Xi robot procedures 5 days a week
- C-sections and OB procedures 1 to 2 days a week
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition
- Establish a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
Requirements
- Current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year ICU experience preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire (unless employee already has ACLS)
- Handle with Care certification required within 30 days of orientation and annually thereafter
- Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 1 year of hire

Schedule
5x8, Days (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), Monday-Friday, with rotating call (average 4-6 calls per month).
