About the role

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures as well as preparing the operating room, handling surgical equipment, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

  • Scrubbing in and circulating in a variety of OR specialty areas such as Robotics, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Transplant, Neurology, Thoracic, Trauma, Cardiac, Vascular, ENT/Head and Neck, GYN, Urology and Bariatrics.
  • Participating in complex surgeries using the latest technology in our state-of-the-art surgical suites.
  • Serving as an integral member of the perioperative team and advocate for patients undergoing anesthesia and/or sedation.
  • Working cooperatively with the multidisciplinary care team to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the perioperative setting.
  • Participating in shared clinical decision-making.

Requirements

  • An active RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree.
  • Prior operating room experience or completion of a perioperative 101 course.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification is preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey is $46.90 - $63.44 per hour.

Schedule

This role is available on a Day shift, 36 hours per week.
