We are seeking compassionate and professional staff members to join the medical, surgical and orthopedic unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital!
About the Role:
The Medical Surgical team is deeply committed to maintaining the standards of a Healthy Workplace for its employees and prides itself in the teamwork between the members of its professional "family."
Responsibilities:
- Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approach
- Practices are guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations
- Demonstrates mastery of most technical skills
- Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised
Requirements:
- Associates degree of nursing is required. Preferred education level is a bachelor’s degree
- Registered Nurse (RN), Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or ability to obtain at time of hire
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or ability to obtain during orientation
Qualifications:
- Competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families
Skills:
- Deliberate, systematic approach to care delivery
- Increasing awareness of patient response patterns
- Mastery of most technical skills
- Supervision and direction of delegated nursing acts
