About the role
The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in the obstetrics/gynecology department at Department 02250 FLMG Rome Obstetrics. This position is full-time with benefits eligibility and works a flexible schedule, Monday through Thursday from 8am-5pm, and Friday from 8am-1pm.
Responsibilities
- Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to enhance care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, involving patients and families throughout their care continuum.
- Maintains vigilance over patient conditions, modifies care plans as necessary, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to optimize care outcomes.
- Ensures a safe environment by upholding and promoting a culture of safety, continuously evaluating patient, team, and unit outcomes, and taking corrective actions when needed.
- Administers medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering teamwork and appropriate delegation.
- Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
- Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making, respecting interdisciplinary roles and contributing to integrated, unbiased patient care.
- Delegates tasks appropriately to other RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- May be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
- Experience typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay
$35.50 - $53.25 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-1pm (IN OFFICE)
