About the Role

Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health and provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. Our facility includes centers for advanced wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics, cardiac services, cancer care, emergency services, and more. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story, 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area, and newly expanded Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Organize and administer individualized, age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
• Support the philosophy, objectives, mission, and vision of Clara Maass Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
• Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participate in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate degree in nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Minimum two (2) years RN experience working in Critical Care or Telemetry.
• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Obtain ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills.

Schedule

• Part-Time, 25 hours per week.
• Night Shift: 7:00pm – 7:30am.
• Every other weekend required.
• Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.62 - $63.73 per hour if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
