About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) - NRT position at Tidelands Health is responsible for managing individualized patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, providing physical and psychological support, and supervising assigned team members.
Responsibilities
- Conducts an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing data collection based on patient’s immediate condition or needs within specified timeframes.
- Maintains confidentiality and provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that respects patient and family diversity.
- Monitors patient’s condition, assesses needs, and provides appropriate treatments and medications.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and educates patients and families on their care.
- Documents patient condition, assessment findings, and progress towards problem resolution.
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures according to protocols.
- Observes and interprets patient symptoms, communicating them to providers and other staff during shift changes.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited institution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited institution.
- Master's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited institution.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in South Carolina.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Master's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Previous experience in an acute care setting.
Skills and Abilities
- Works effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EMR) for patient-level care and coordination.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with others to improve quality and address needs.
