Registered Nurse RN Noninvasive Cardiac

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient’s medical records and performs focused cardiovascular assessments.
• Administers exercise and pharmacologic stress tests with nuclear medicine, and exercise treadmill stress tests.
• Placements of IV’s, assists in the administration of Definity contrast enhancing agents and performing agitated saline bubble studies when indicated per protocol for patients undergoing echocardiograms.
• Provides initial patient management in the event of arrhythmia or other adverse events that may occur during stress testing.

Requirements

• Must have Cardiology Experience.
• Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience preferred in cardiology, emergency, critical care or outpatient diagnostic imaging.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and rhythm recognition.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered nurse in state of Connecticut.

Benefits
