Registered Nurse (RN) Non Invasive Cardiology

About the role

The Registered Nursing (RN) position at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital focuses on supervision of stress testing and monitor placement, as well as backup for CCTA, MRI, and cardiac PET scans. This role is part of the Non Invasive Cardiology department, which includes RNs, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers. The department sees an average of 7 patients daily, both inpatient and outpatient.

Responsibilities

• Supervise stress testing and monitor placement
• Backup for CCTA, MRI, and cardiac PET scans
• Manage complex cases in fast-paced environments
• Provide intra-procedural patient care and moderate sedation

Requirements

• Registered nursing license
• AACLS certification required
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• One to two years of cath/EP lab, radiology, or cardiac step-down experience preferred
• Background in EKG/Telemetry and Stress Testing
• Critical care experience in hospital required

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (preferred)

Pay

$30.00 - $35.00/hour

Schedule

Full time, first shift (days) - 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. One Saturday day shift of 4 hours every 3rd week from 8a to noon. Variable shift times, all morning hours for Stress Testing.
