About the role

The New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health offers a full-time Registered Nurse position designed to assist new graduates in transitioning to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment where you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the transition from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health.
  • Provides clinical experiences with a preceptor.
  • Trains in the state-of-the-art Banner Simulation Center.
  • Completes competency and skills assessments and verifications.
  • Participates in e-Learning modules for professional and personal development.

Requirements

  • Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN preferred, but ADN accepted at select locations.
  • Current BLS card (through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI).
  • No more than 12 months of RN experience.
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Skills

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Benefits

  • This is a full-time, benefitted, and paid position.
  • Flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential and 18%-night shift differential when applicable.
  • All New Grad RN positions are eligible for Banner Health’s “Total Rewards Compensation Package,” which includes Health/Dental/Vision insurance, PTO/Sick time accrual, 401K, and a long list of other benefits.
  • Benefits begin the 1st of the month following your start date.

Pay

This is a full-time, benefitted, and paid position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Schedule

Most new nurses will work three 12-hour shifts, which will include weekend and holiday rotations with other staff members.
