Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuroscience / Neurology

Role Overview: This is a per diem registered nurse position within various Progressive Care Units (PCU), providing direct patient care across diverse specialties such as oncology, surgery, neurology, and more. The nurse works independently, adhering to hospital policies, and collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, quality nursing care to patients of all ages, including neonatal to geriatric.Assist with tests, procedures, and medication administration, ensuring proper documentation and patient safety.Participate in orientation, precepting new staff, and ongoing professional development.Respond to emergencies, maintain medical records, and ensure a safe environment.Promote patient participation and report safety concerns or medical errors proactively. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of relevant experience.Current RN license in the state or reciprocal agreement, with BLS certification.Ability to perform IV verification, TB testing, and meet unit-specific certifications.Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing, bilingual abilities, and specialty certifications. Additional Requirements Work minimum shifts as specified per level (RN Per Diem I, II, III) including weekends and holidays.Heavy physical effort may be required to move patients or objects.Work environment involves exposure to biohazards and chemicals, requiring safety precautions.
