Registered Nurse RN - Neuroscience
Position Purpose
The Neuroscience Unit at Saint Francis Hospital provides multidisciplinary care to patients with neurological conditions such as acute stroke, transient ischemic attacks, seizure disorders & epilepsy.
Description
What You Will Do:
- Monitor, record and respond to patients’ clinical status.
- Aid in hyperacute and acute treatment and support.
- Encourage rehabilitation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN graduate preferred.
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
- Certification: BLS required.
- Work Schedule: Full time – 36 hours – Nights
- Additional Info: Specialized 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
- Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Certification (TSC)
- 2022 Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus Target: Stroke Honor Roll, Target Stroke Type II Diabetes Honor Roll
