About the Role
Registered Nurse (RN) position in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) on a 36-bed unit, focusing on cardiac, stroke, and higher-acuity patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions
- Collaborate across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, and psychosocial needs
- Educate patients and families
- Delegate tasks to ancillary staff
- Precept students and new hires
- Support patient outcomes through assessment, care coordination, and education
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
Qualifications
- Current Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain
- New graduates encouraged to apply
Schedule
- Night shifts (8 hours)
- Weekend and holiday rotations required
