About the role
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documenting patient care and monitoring patient conditions while communicating with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and mobility.
- Coordinating patient care activities, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
- Offering education tailored to patients' age, cultural background, and circumstances.
- Advocating for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
- Participating in performance improvement and continuing education initiatives.
- Maintaining reliable attendance and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current unencumbered RN license in Iowa or a Compact State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
