Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Stroke Overflow Unit - Day/Evening shift - 36 hours per week - Christiana Hospital

About the role

5D is a 35 bed medical telemetry inpatient unit located on the 5th floor at Christiana Hospital. We are a stroke overflow unit in addition to encompassing a wide variety of other diagnoses as well as ages. We also have a partnership with CCHP (Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners) by cohorting their patients on our unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, team-based nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Monitor and manage telemetry and medical-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, specialists, and support staff
• Anticipate patient needs and support colleagues with generosity and critical thinking

Requirements

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining within three years of hire considered with relevant experience
• Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license
• 1–2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred
• Telemetry experience a plus
• BLS certification required

Pay

Hourly pay range: $41.28 – $66.05. Actual salary within this range will depend on individual factors including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, night shift
• Typical shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Weekends and holidays per department guidelines
