Essentia Health in Fargo is a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our Neuro unit sees:

  • Stroke patients
  • Post-op back and neck surgeries
  • Patients needing a neurological work-up for dizziness, confusion, and weakness

Medical and Surgical patients include COPD, abdominal pain/GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-op urological patients.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and provide nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions
  • Contribute to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meet the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies

Requirements

Education

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Certification/Licensure

  • Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Hiring Incentive

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN).

Schedule

  • FTE: 0.9
  • Shift Rotation: Day/Night Rotation
  • Shift Start Time: 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • Shift End Time: 7:30pm - 7:30am
  • Weekends: Every third weekend and holiday
  • Call Obligation: No
  • Union: Yes

Pay

Compensation Range: $38.22 - $57.33 per hour
