About the role
Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County's Medical/Surgical Unit provides exceptional, patient-centered care in a modern healing environment overlooking the scenic Lake Michigan shoreline. The unit is nationally recognized for excellence in both cancer and orthopedic care.
Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Experience in a similar setting is preferred but not required.
Skills
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems is also required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
