Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
About the role
M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center is located in Princeton, Minnesota, serving a broad community. The Med/Surg RN will care for medical surgical patients with complex conditions, including some pediatric surgical cases and adult intensive care patients.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Assess and document patient learning needs and develop individualized education plans.
- Participate in creating and implementing improvements to enhance clinical quality, patient experience, nursing engagement, and efficiency.
- Comply with regulatory requirements and established practice standards.
- Coordinate with the interdependent team to promote collaborative teamwork and cooperation.
- Contribute to achieving departmental goals related to safety, cost, quality, patient experience, and employee engagement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid RN license from the MN Board of Nursing.
- One year of RN experience preferred.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred.

Pay
The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
Schedule
This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks), with a 12-hour NIGHTshift rotation, every third weekend (F,S,S), and a holiday rotation.
