Unit Specializes in: Medical/Surgical/Oncology
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members including ancillary and support services
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers
- Delegate, assess, provide and evaluate patient care
- Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members
- Monitor patient progress and prepare patient for discharge
- Report directly to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making activities
Qualifications
- Graduation from a school of nursing required
- BSN preferred
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required
