About the role

Provides nursing care to correctional patients by planning, delivering, documenting, and evaluating patient care based on individual needs, provider orders, and established nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing personnel
• Observes and reports patient conditions
• Maintains accurate documentation of care
• Ensures adherence to organizational values and customer service standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Possess current RN licensure in Ohio
• Hold Basic Life Support certification
• Knowledge in nursing theory
• Medical asepsis
• Use of medical instruments

Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Correctional health care experience
• Certifications such as CCN or CCHP

Requirements

• Ability to sit
• Ability to stand
• Ability to walk
• Ability to lift up to 300 pounds with assistance
• Ability to tolerate exposure to communicable diseases, chemicals, and body fluids
