Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care Center
Job Summary

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Aid in coordinating nursing services with other departments.
- Assist with admissions and discharges as directed by DNS.
- Assist with the orientation of new employees and ensure proper training.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
- Create and monitor work assignments, ensuring an adequate number of nursing care personnel are on duty.
- Monitor and perform medication passes and treatments, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation.
- Consult with resident’s physician to plan care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc.
- Keep records of resident’s problems, changes in condition, and changes in orders.
- Make written and oral reports to the DNS regarding the Nursing Service Department's operations.
- Report accidents, incidents, and changes in resident status/condition/actions promptly.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
- Arrange appointments and transportation as required by the interdisciplinary team.
- Follow facility policies and procedures to provide optimal care for residents.

- Successfully prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Have knowledge of customer service concepts.
- Be detail-oriented and proficient in recordkeeping.
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.

- Prioritize tasks and maintain organization.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Required: Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing, work experience in long-term care settings.
Certification & Licensure Requirements
- Required: RN License in good standing with State of Oregon, BLS Certification.
- Preferred: None.
