Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues—including providers—to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The role includes caring for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as coordinating care, resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Apply the full nursing process to deliver individualized resident care.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Provide preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment across all resident phases.
• Coordinate resident assessment, education, and nursing interventions.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Support delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolve care/service concerns.
• Practice within the scope and standards of the Nurse Practice Act and state administrative rules.
• Adhere to the Professional Nursing Practice standards, the ANA Code of Ethics, and related interpretive statements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice (or multistate licensure in an NLC state).
• Maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.

Experience Requirements

• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).

Scheduling Requirements

• Minimum of 30 hours per month.
• One weekend shift per month.

Pay

• Salary range: $32.00 – $48.00 per hour.
• Premium pay rates: $15.00/hour premium on all hours worked.
• Weekend shift differential: $1.25/hour.
• Evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM): $1.25/hour.
