Our 16-bed general med/surg unit provides patient care for a variety of diagnoses including peritoneal dialysis and pediatrics. This fast-paced unit serves a diverse patient population and fosters a strong sense of teamwork to deliver the highest quality of care.
As an RN Lead, you'll coordinate patient care activities, workflow, and scheduling, act as a clinical and administrative resource to staff, provide work direction, and perform charge nurse responsibilities while assuming responsibility for the nursing unit as directed by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.
- Act as a clinical and administrative resource to staff, ensuring smooth workflow and patient care coordination.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in clinical nursing within an acute care setting.
