Responsibilities
- Apply professional clinical skills and expertise to the care and management of breastfeeding infants and lactating mothers.
- Develop, promote, and implement lactation support services to clinical staff, patients, and community members.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing
- One (1) year of training and program development experience
- Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
- Training: Intensified training in lactation
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- NRP
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Current IBCLC or IBCLC Exam scheduled within one (1) year from date of hire
