Registered Nurse (RN) Lactation Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Providing direct support and education to patients, staff, and the community on breastfeeding and lactation.
• Assessing patient needs—physical, psychosocial, and age-specific—and developing individualized feeding plans based on current research.
• Serving as a resource and mentor to healthcare team members, promoting evidence-based practices, and participating in program development, policy creation, and clinical research.
• Supporting community education initiatives and participating in continuous professional development.

Qualifications And Skills

• PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree and current RN license.
• Certifications: BLS and IBCLC.
• MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN MOTHER/BABY/NURSERY SETTINGS; CLINICAL OR CLASSROOM TEACHING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
• Strong critical thinking, cultural competence, and group facilitation skills.
